Is your email set up right?
Type your domain, the part after the @ in your email address. In about ten seconds you will see, in plain words, whether your email reaches inboxes and whether someone could fake it. Each problem comes with its fix.
No sign-up and nothing to install. It works whoever hosts your email.
Seven questions that decide whether your email arrives.
Where your email goes
This tells the world which servers receive email for your domain. Without it, nobody can email you.
Who can send email as you
A list of the services allowed to send email from your domain, such as your email provider or newsletter tool. Inboxes use it to spot impostors, and mail from anything not listed is more likely to land in spam.
What happens to fake emails
Tells inboxes what to do with email that pretends to come from you: let it through, put it in spam, or refuse it. It is the main protection against scammers using your name.
Your email signature
A hidden digital signature on every email you send. It proves the email really came from you and was not changed on the way.
Your mail servers’ names
Inboxes look up the name behind the address your email comes from. A missing or mismatched name looks suspicious.
Spam blocklists
Public lists of addresses that have sent spam. If your mail server is on one, much of your email will be refused.
Encrypted delivery
Whether email sent to you travels encrypted, so it cannot be read on the way.
It reads your domain’s public settings and asks your mail server one question. It never sends email and keeps nothing about you.
